The show tells the stories of communities coming together to renovate their aging and broken public schools.
RICHMOND, VA (October 11, 2010) - Acoustical Solutions, Inc., a leading supplier of soundproofing and noise control products, today is proud to announce its participation in the renovation of Detroit's Communications and Media Arts High School for the new NBC series "School Pride."
"School Pride" will air Friday nights this fall at 8 p.m., beginning October 15, with the episode in which Acoustical Solutions participates airing November 5.
According to the Detroit Public Schools Web site, the Communications and Media Arts High School, which boasts a 97 percent graduation rate, "was originally slated to close this summer due to lack of funds to repair the building. It was saved after being selected to receive significant repairs as part of ‘School Pride.'"
"We were very happy to be a part of this renovation not only because it lifted up a community and a school, but also because the products we supplied are going to have a direct impact on the students' unique education," said Dave Ingersoll, Acoustical Solutions' national sales manager.
From Horizon Alternative Television, "School Pride" is executive produced by Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and Denise Cramsey ("Extreme Makeover: Home Edition").
