The
goal of noise reduction in large auditoriums is to add
sound absorption materials to reduce reverberation (echo)
within the room. Typically auditoriums and theaters
have hard reflective walls and floors such as concrete
block and there is a need for sound reduction. Adding
sound control products such as acoustical wall panels
will reduce ambient noise during events. These sound
absorption materials should be planned into the design
of the auditorium, however they can be added as a retrofit
application as the need for sound reduction within the
facility is addressed.
