Auditoriums

Controlling sound in an auditorium requires an approach that needs to consider the usage of the room (speech vs. music).

Auditoriums used for lectures require a room with less reverberation (echo). Speech is better understood (speech intelligibility) with sound coming directly from the source (or speaker) rather than reflections off the rear wall and side walls that reduce the clarity of the sound.
