Exterior Noise Soundproofing

The Issue

My customer contacted me due to noise from his neighbor. “I have a loud neighbor who loves the TV being at max volume. making it hard to rest or relax inside.” Not being able to be comfortable in his own home drove him to search for a solution.

The Challenge

We discussed his issues and the various options we offer for reducing exterior noises leaking in via windows. He sent me dimensions and photos of the windows so we could discuss the specific properties about his windows such as where our PrivacyShield^® Window Seal Kit would mount and whether there would be any issues with his window treatments. I also mentioned that these create a new insulative air space which would reduce his heating and air conditioning costs while significantly reducing the noises from outside.

The Solution

His initial purchase was for 2 windows as a proof of concept, and after seeing and hearing how well these worked 7 more windows followed. “I’ve purchased the glass versions before and while they were better in that they could slide open and were thicker, the large price difference didn’t justify the slight improvement over these.”

The Result

Mr. Snyder isn’t disturbed by his neighbor any more and his comments on his results were “Once installed, these made a huge reduction in noise for much less than other options and the sound/noise was lessened by at least 75%.” He was also able to accommodate his window blinds by keeping them between his new PrivacyShield^® Window Seal Kit and the old window.
