First Baptist Church of Pensacola
The Issue
Acoustical Solutions was recently contacted by the First Baptist Church of Pensacola to assist in removing and replacing the existing acoustical treatment in the church with a new, better system. We used our fantastic Fabric Stretch System to accomplish this goal and improve the look and feel of the largest church in Pensacola, Florida.
The Challenge
The church wanted to make a change and update their current acoustical system. As seen in the pictures, this beautiful historic church would need special attention to detail and care. We wanted to leave a lasting impression that would would be remembered for decades to come. Our team worked hard to get the color just right for the occasion.
The Solution
Our installation team worked around the clock to remove the existing treatment, lay the new track, add the core, and place the new vibrant fabric within the time provided. We kept a tight timeline so the church could keep their regularly scheduled weekly events. However, no project is without its hiccups. When demoing the space, we learned that the old walls were plaster and lathe board. Our professional installation team, along with great assistance from the on-site project manager, created a stunning room. The acoustical treatment added to the room’s aesthetic, while achieving our goal of keeping the reverberation time at a comfortable level. Our stretch systems are a wonderful option for unique projects like this.
