AcoustiWall Fabric Stretch System
Product Description
The AcoustiWall Fabric Stretch System is a site installed acoustical wall panel system providing unlimited possibilities. For this product, installation and service is available throughout the country. No job is too big or too small for our installation crew. We have been providing quality products and installation services for over 30 years. We combine an extruded track system, designed by installers for installers, along with our acoustical knowledge and expertise to offer a complete acoustic solution.
The extruded track used in this system is used to cover large spans of wall or ceilings space and is only limited by the dimensions of the fabric. This provides a virtually seamless installation with unlimited design potential. This system may be customized with a number of fabrics or printed graphics to create any desired look. Whether you are creating shapes or printed art, you can easily integrate this system around existing doors, windows and electrical outlets. If you have a vision, we can make it happen.
To achieve the appropriate acoustical solution for your application, any number of acoustical materials may be applied beneath the fabric. The acoustical substrate may be completely absorptive, block sound, or diffuse sound. In some cases, they may even hide speaker arrays or organ pipes. Our representatives and installers will help you determine the best solution for your application.
To provide an estimate for this product, we will typically require room drawings with dimensions showing the placement of windows, doors, electrical outlets, and other equipment. In some cases, we may require an on-site consultation.

- Fire Classification: Fabric to be Class A per ASTM-E84
- Fiber Content:
- Polyester and Polyolefin fabrics are typically stable and work well.
- Cotton, silk, and wool fabrics may work, but they will require further stabilization.
- Avoid Nylon, Rayon, and Viscose fabrics, as they tend to be unstable.
- Acoustical: You should face panels that you intend to use for sound absorption with fabrics that have an open weave and freely allow air to pass through them. Avoid fabrics that cannot be blown through with ease.
- Tackable: Face panels that you intend to use as a tackable surface with plain-weave fabrics that are made from durable fibers like polyester. The material should have self-healing characteristics. We do not recommend satin weaves.
- Transparency: Some light-colored or lightweight fabrics may be visually transparent in certain lighting conditions. This means you can see the materials behind them on the surface. When selected, these fabrics will require the installation of a liner fabric which will increase your installation costs.
- Backing: You can use knit and lightweight acrylic backings with success, but you may diminish the product’s acoustical performance. You cannot use paper-backed fabrics.
- Patterns/Repeats: The stretching systems allow for the precise matching of both patterns and repeats at all seam locations. In general, smaller patterns and repeats reduce waste and installation costs.
