Acousti-Top™ Adhesive is an acrylic copolymer for bonding Acousti-Top™ Floor Underlayment to a concrete subfloor or another Maxxon-approved subfloor. This adhesive requires no mixing or dilution. It is ready to apply directly from the pail.

Installation Method

The subfloor shall be structurally sound, fully dry, clean, and free of mud, oil, grease, dirt, dust, and other contaminating factors. Do not mix or dilute with water. The adhesive is ready for use directly from the pail. If Acousti-Top™ is installed over a Maxxon underlayment, the underlayment must be dry and sealed prior to adhesive application using Maxxon Overspray or Maxxon Acrylic.

Roll 1/4" nap roller, brush, or spray adhesive at a rate of 300 square feet per gallon. Apply the adhesive in 48" wide strips and place the Acousti-Top™ into the wet or tacky adhesive and dry roll with a standard resilient floor roller to insure 100% adhesive coverage below the mat. This will minimize working over the adhesive throughout the installation. Rough hollow core precast plank or rough concrete may require the Maxxon underlayment slurry coat method of attachment. Isolation strips are installed around all walls, doorways, toilet collars, and other floor penetrations. Seams shall be butt jointed on thin pours or may be overlapped on pours thicker than 1/2".

Freezing may DAMAGE this product. Store in a cool, dry location at room temperature.
