SONEX® Mini Acoustic Foam FOMSONMIN241ARC

Sonex® Mini Acoustic Foam is designed for use in environments where high frequency noise control is required. Its unique sculpted pattern allows for maximum handling of high frequency sound waves. Sonex® Mini Panels are a safety-minded choice for use in machine enclosures and other confined spaces. It can withstand constant temperatures above 300º Fahrenheit and will char, but not ignite, at temperatures above 1100º Fahrenheit. Sonex® Mini is Class 1 fire-rated and it is 100% fiber-free foam (part #MSO). Sonex® Mini has a minimal depth for use in applications where a thinner acoustic foam is required.

Installation Method

  • These panels mount easily to any wall or ceiling surface with acouSTIC water-based adhesive.
  • Installation is best done at the end of the construction project.
  • Use clean gloves to prevent soiling material.
  • Melamine foam is fragile, please handle with care.
  • Do not install material of unacceptable quality.

PLEASE NOTE: Half of the panels per box have a positive pattern and half have a negative pattern, as the panels are meant to be installed alternating the patterns. Please layout your design and make necessary design changes prior to installation.

What is HPC coating?

HPC is a high-performance coating that is applied to acoustical melamine foam base. Our exclusive water based HPC formulation improves durability and protects the acoustical foam from dust and dirt, allowing the surface to be cleaned using a damp cloth. The HPC coating is especially appropriate for use high-traffic areas. HPC Premium extends the HPC coating further by offering a line of brilliant colors from which to choose.

  • HPC Coating for Wall and Ceiling Panels:
    • Coating is applied to the panel face and edges.
  • HPC Coating for Hanging Baffles and Clouds:
    • The coating will be applied to all exposed edges and sides.
    • HPC Coating for Drop-In Ceiling Tiles:
      • All necessary edges will be coated to provide a finished appearance.

Are custom HPC colors available?

Custom HPC colors are available. Popular paint brands may be combined with our exclusive HPC formulation to produce unique designs for any project.

  • There is a minimum requirement of 700 square feet of Sonex® Acoustical Foam.
  • We require the brand name, paint color and number.
  • There is a setup fee is for each custom color.
  • We require a deposit for the order.

Customers with an order for custom HPC colors will receive a sample to approve prior to producing the order.
