The Issue
First Crossroads Baptist Church needed acoustical treatment for their fellowship hall. They wanted to create a better space for their congregation. Reducing the reverberation in the space provided an improvement in speech intelligibility and a reduction in overall noise.
About The Client
First Crossroads Baptist Church is in South Boston, VA established in 2018. They have numerous events, bible studies, and activities for the kids that take place all year long in the fellowship hall.
The Challenge
Prior to purchasing the Alphasorb® Acoustic Fabric Wrapped Panels, the fellowship hall was very loud and reverberant; making communication difficult and frustrating for the members of the church. It was nearly impossible to hold a conversation. The members complained how loud the space was and the echo was terrible. They knew something had to be done to make the space comfortable for its members.

The Fellowship Hall at First Crossroads Baptist Church was treated with AlphaSorb Fabric Wrapped Panels to reduce noise.
The Solution
To address the sound issues in the fellowship hall our installation team installed 1” thick Alphasorb® Acoustic Fabric Wrapped Panels. The panels worked well at reducing sound reflections, improving speech and reducing echo in the space. The panels are now on the walls and ceiling, creating a comfortable environment for their congregation.

The Result
