Speech Privacy Without the Noise!

Our PrivacyShield® 12x12 Room Kit is designed to provide the appropriate material to block the transmission of speech through a ceiling grid for a 12'x12' room. This kit contains 2' x 2' or 2' x '4 ceiling tile barriers to lay on top of existing ceiling tiles and standard 2' x 2' or 2' x 4' light hoods. All necessary installation accessories are included (mastic, tape, and brush for light assembly of light hoods).

If sound does not pass through the walls of the existing space, the next likely culprit is the ceiling grid. Most office partition walls do not extend to the roof deck, which allows sound to transmit into the plenum and flank over to the adjacent space. Place PrivacyShield® Ceiling Tile Barriers on the back of existing ceiling tiles to add mass and block sound. Place PrivacyShield® Light Hoods over the lights in the plenum space to prevent sound leakage while still allowing for appropriate airflow.

Installation Method

Install PrivacyShield® Ceiling Tile Barrier on top of the existing ceiling tiles throughout the entire room. Ensure the ceiling tile backers are a tight fit into the grid. PrivacyShield® Light Hoods assemble as outlined in installation guide using the included installation kit (bonding paste, tape & brush).
