A custom acoustic treatment converts a homeowner's garage into a home recording studio.
The Story
A homeowner wanted to convert his garage into a home recording studio. Acoustical Solutions provided products and installation services to convert the garage into a fully-functional studio space, now called Distilled Sounds Studio. In addition to framing and insulation, we enclosed all electrical boxes with Firestop Acoustical Putty Pads, added a double drywall system sandwiching a layer of Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound (12 Tubes), plus AlphaSorb® Fabric Wrapped Acoustic Panels and Clouds in Guilford of Maine Whisper Fabric.
