Vibration Control

Vibration Isolation is achieved using various methods to interrupt the movement of a structural sound wave. These products may be made of rubber, neoprene and other compounds or may contain mechanical methods of isolation.

  • Isolation pads, mounts, washer bushings, and hangers can be used to reduce the amount of vibration transmitted from noisy machinery or other devices through their contact points.
  • Applying metal damping products like Antivibe ® or Vibstop will keep metal machinery or housings from ringing from impact of vibrations.
  • Using combinations of Green Glue damping compound, resilient clips, floor underlayments and other materials will help break the transmission of sound through the structure of a building.
