Bryan S. recently contacted Acoustical Solutions for help with a noise issue in his office control room. His shared workspace in Florida didn’t allow for much privacy, and sound traveled so easily that it was difficult for more than one person to be on the phone at a time. Adding to the problem were bare walls and ceilings, built parallel to one another – a formula for reverberation. The reverb amplified sounds and caused distractions for Bryan and his coworkers.
ASI Sales Rep Mark Brock recommended AlphaSorb® Acoustical Panels for sound absorption to lower noise intensity in the space, but since there were no cubicle partitions in place, privacy would still be an issue. Bryan then came up with an idea – why not create cubicle-like partitions with the acoustical treatment?
Mark rose to the challenge. Creating these partitions with AlphaSorb® Acoustic Panels would not only decrease the sound level overall in the room, but would increase privacy by creating a visual barrier that absorbed sound made in each employee’s area before they could disturb other workers.
Mark put in Bryan’s custom order for double-wrapped AlphaSorb® Acoustic Panels, and Bryan did his own mounting to make partitions between the desks. The panels were double-wrapped for a more finished look from all angles.
After the project was completed, Bryan sent Mark the following message:
Everything is installed and we couldn’t be happier. I will be sending another request for additional pieces. Thank you for all of your help.
I have attached some pictures to show you how we installed them, this worked very well and is very stable.
