I have a recording studio / music mixing room on the lower level (not really a basement) of my home. The air conditioner condenser is directly outside the mix position so the hum from the unit transmitted through the concrete wall was a bit of a distraction while mixing. I placed the isolators under the condenser unit and the problem was eliminated.
