Iso-Step® Soundproofing Underlayment Adhesive
Product Description
Our high-performing Iso-Step® Soundproofing Underlayment Adhesive pairs with our Iso-Step® Soundproofing Underlayment. Our acoustic underlay is an effective sound barrier that prevents impact sound from passing to the room below. We offer two premium flooring adhesives options. This standard product, and a quick cure adhesive that offers a faster installation time.
Both are well-suited for a range of flooring materials including luxury vinyl tile (LVT), linoleum, rubber tile, and sheet flooring. Possible floor assembly substrates for this product include underlayment-grade plywood, particleboard, cement backer board, terrazzo, and many concrete and radiant heated subfloors. It works especially well when installing vinyl flooring tiles and planks with rubber acoustic underlayment.
As a true pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), this acoustic underlayment adhesive has the advantage of being installed both dry to the touch and semi-wet. It’s easy to apply, has a long shelf life, and provides a secure bond. It’s unique because it fully cross-links into a hard-set, which is more secure than traditional methods of securing flooring underlayment. This hard-set ensures that the flooring underlayment is securely locked in place, providing a stable and durable flooring surface.
This strong, durable adhesive is non-flammable, withstands severe moisture, and neutralizes acids, making it ideal for commercial applications in construction assemblies designed to address sound transmission. It cures in just 12 hours, making it easy to finish your soundproofing project. Its superior strength ensures that your soundproofing will last for many years.
