Loctite® Spray Adhesive comes in 13.5 oz. aerosol cans and is ideal for attaching acoustic foam to surfaces such as drywall, wood, plastics, cardboard, and most metals. When using this spray adhesive, you apply to it both the installation surface as well as the acoustic material. Once both surfaces are covered, the adhesive will get tacky, and hold together when firmly pressed against each other. Each can will cover 200 square feet total, which equals 100 square feet of installed product.
Well-ventilated area, wash hands after use.
Shake well before using. Apply adhesive between 65°F (18°C) and 95°F (35°C). Shake can well before using. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of foreign materials. Protect finished surfaces. Pre-fit all materials. Testing of substrates for compatibility is recommended. Re-positioning is not possible. Turn spray tip so that the black dot is aligned with the nozzle.
Hold can in a vertical position. Point valve towards surface and spray from a distance of 8” to 10” (20 to 25 cm). Keep the can moving to create an even coat and avoid build-up on the surface. Start and stop the spray just off the work to prevent runs and sags. Apply an even coat to both surfaces to be bonded and allow to dry 2 to 5 minutes between coats. Apply maximum pressure over entire surface. Adhesive loses tack after approximately 10 minutes. Re-coat if time exceeded. Porous surfaces will require more than one coat.
