How are these panels attached to the ceiling?

    • :

      Danny,

The AlphaSorb Fabric Ceiling Tiles are designed to drop into any standard 9/16″ or 15/16″ ceiling grid system.

If you do not have a standard drop tile ceiling grid system in place and are looking at adding sound absorption in your ceiling area, then you should consider the AlphaSorb Fabric Wrapped Panels. The panels are finished on the edges, whereas the ceiling tiles are not because the edges are hidden by the grid.

If this is the case and you do not have a drop tile ceiling, the panels would be installed using our Z-Clips and Z-Bar which is a two part mechanical fastener. First, the Z-Clip would be installed on the back of the panel, then the Z-Bar would be shipped with the product. You would mount the Z-Bar onto your ceiling using screws and drywall anchor or togglebolts to secure it. Then you slide the panel into place, onto the bar. We also suggest toenailing the panel on one end or the other to keep the panel from sliding loose of the bar.
