Industrial grade quilted acoustical blankets may be cleaned by using a vacuum cleaner or broom to remove the debris from the blanket surfaces. In addition, any product surface that is not a scrim facing may be cleaned with an air hose or any non-solvent based cleaning product.
A typical “all-purpose cleaner” that contains ingredients such as “water, detergents, and grease cutter” is recommended. Similar suitable brand names are Formula 409, Top Job, Spic & Span, and Mr. Clean.
Product Description
The AlphaSorb® Dual-Sided Outdoor Absorptive Sound Blanket (formerly the AQFA-10EXT Exterior Absorber Sound Blanket) is used to add sound absorption to exterior applications to reduce reverberation and echo. This weather-resistant blanket is constructed using two layers of 1 in. thick acoustical fiberglass batting quilted with Gore® Tenara® thread to a durable exterior-grade vinyl coated polyester.
The AlphaSorb® Dual-Sided Outdoor Absorptive Sound Blanket can be installed on existing solid surfaces. This quilted fiberglass absorber blanket reduces the reflection of sound waves by adding soft, porous, open-celled materials to an otherwise less absorbent surface. These blankets are often used to reduce sound from outdoor HVAC equipment, dust collectors or other equipment and can be installed on wood fencing or exterior walls.
The quilted blanket may be configured as hanging panels or provided as roll goods. Standard sound blanket panels are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top and bottom edges. Rolls can also be supplied with unbound edges and typically do not include grommets unless otherwise specified.
These durable blankets are available in a variety of colors and stitch patterns, have an NRC rating of 0.75, and weigh approximately 0.50 pounds per square foot.
Standard 4′ x 8′ blanket panels may be ordered online. Other sizes up to 4 ft. x 25 ft. are available, please contact us with your specific requirements.
